Dr. Rhunjay "James" Yu is a fellowship-trained robotic urologic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery for urologic cancers. He serves as Managing Partner of MarinHealth Urology and Medical Director of Robotic Surgery and Urologic Oncology at MarinHealth Medical Center.

Dr. Yu earned his medical degree from the USC Keck School of Medicine with Highest Distinction and Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his General Surgery and Urology training at Stanford University, followed by advanced fellowship training in Robotics and Laparoscopy at the USC Institute of Urology under internationally recognized leaders in minimally invasive surgery.

His clinical focus includes robotic radical and nerve-sparing prostatectomy, robotic cystectomy with intracorporeal diversion, partial and radical nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, adrenalectomy, and complex reconstructive procedures. In addition to cancer surgery, he treats benign conditions including BPH and ureteropelvic junction obstruction using robotic approaches.

Dr. Yu has received multiple Top Doctor recognitions and has performed live robotic surgical demonstrations at national and international meetings. He combines advanced surgical technique with a strong emphasis on oncologic outcomes and quality of life.
